Planetarium friend of women: Meetings in schools

We organize meetings in schools and showcase works by female researchers, to help female students to identify their favourite scientific topics. Our goal is to provide girls with a vast number of examples of research activities in all possible STEM disciplines, to encourage them to start scientific career paths that are not usually represented in mainstream media. We also hope to enhance consciousness among teachers and institutions of the severe gender inequalities which occur everyday in the society, and from which schools are unfortunately not exempt. The participants have the chance to directly interact with scientists, asking questions about the work of a researcher, how a typical working day of a researcher is organized, or how a novel method or a pioneering strategy is discovered.
